7 things you may or may not know...

(1) Ms. C & I have our own little baking company, it's called TLC which stands for Tasty Little Confections

(2) I am a nurse, as is Ms. C (TLC...get it? yes? makes sense now?)

(3) I got the name Rocketgirl after a wacky nightshift from R over at Brokeshopaholic's Possibilities and Ms. C  (hooligans those two...)

(4) I feel "connected" to the people that I blog with, & some of them I have never even met!

(5) I change my toenail polish at LEAST once per week

(6) I haven't had "naked" toenails since I was young, maybe 10 years old...so about 15 years ago ;)

(7) I. LOVE. COFFEE.

Rocketgirl is still here...

I SERIOUSLY contemplated shutting down this blog...for reasons I cannot disclose, but upon careful consideration I have decided to keep it going...she was my first blog baby, and I do love her...

Which leads me to the next order of business...while this is a fun, about nothing & everything blog, I have decided to start another...it's called...

It's been a very busy week...swimming lessons for the boys, work, my first Board Meeting for Shanti Uganda and TLC has a wedding this weekend so Ms.C & I will be very busy the next few days...my SIL is coming this weekend (yay) and Trifecta on Monday (double yay)

I need more string.

My days off are running out! And I can't fit everything in that I need to!  I need to make a list so I don't forget...so much to do!

• Back Injury update: cleared for work, Facet Joint Injury at the T3,4 & 5. Pishaw! Ain't no big deal.
• We, the lovely ladies of TLC , were busy getting samples out to our  bridelings today.
• My house still isn't as clean as I would like it to be. **rolls eyes**
• The baby project has been started, stitch-picked, re-started, more stitch-picking and started yet again. AAARGH! (I mean it's super easy Ms. C!)
• Trifecta is tomorrow! WHEEEEE! Scentsy party! WHEEEEE!
• Thursday is TEA! aaaaaand then back to work...

Oh and PS...please submit your deviled egg recipes IMMEDIATELY! I need a good one for tomorrow to show off my green egg plate with! Heeeee!

It's Friday....for real!

Nightshifters...are you out there? I am SO glad that after this nightshift, I have 5 days off! Knowing me I will probably pick up a shift...but 5 days off...it's certainly been awhile.

What are my plans you ask?? Well let me tell you...

• Friday is Trifecta Day! Tra Laaaaaaaaa! So excited!
• Friday night, possible sewing extravanganza...
• Saturday, I MUST be in WR for 10am to buy this lovely desk off a fellow. 10 bucks! and then it meets the palm sander...
• Saturday afternoon...R & R for candle shopping?! Who's in?
• Saturday night...dinner out?! sans kids....sans kids til Sunday night actually!
• Sunday? Monday? Tuesday?
  

I most likely will pick up at least one shift in those days....but I plan to sew, work on the spare room, and start refinishing all the furniture I have been collecting over the past few months. Weather permitting.
BTW, TLC has booked their first two weddings! We are SO excited!

i am so looking forward to the end of my shift and my 110hr pay period! here's why!

~ i'm off til tuesday!
~ today is TRIFECTA day! wooot!
~ friday, TLC is baking with our beeyootiful new Americolor(s)
~ friday nite is Mrs C's b-day din! greek & an 80's party dance off!
~ saturday is Alice in Wonderland 3D with the fam!
~ sunday is girls nite dinner party @ Mrs C's!
~ monday is shopping & trolling

there is a new venture on the horizon. not sure if it will actually be a venture yet...but something purposeful, & fun! stay tuned for more to come!

TLC vas bizzy today yas! and the smart, intelligent, gorgeous ladies of TLC worked night shift last night...therefore it was a bit of a slow moving, dicey baking day. it's all good. it's always a mini dance party in the kitchen to some CHOICE 80's tunes, a few cups of coffee et voila! confections!

ps. if you are the teaser on craigslist with the below mentioned dresser....CHECK YOUR EMAIL! you're killing me here!

there's a strange man in my house!

and he isn't stressy! or cranky! oh, that's cuz he just wrote his national red seal in plumbing. 4 years of school/apprenticeship all done. 3 weeks til we find out if he is a master journeyman plumber & gas fitter. obviously he passed, he's very proud of himself, as am i.

what a relief! no more school! or is there... UFV sent me a letter yesterday. "please attend the following information session for your LPN to BSN access program." SUGARSTICKS! i thought i had bona-fide decided NOT to go anymore, to be happy with the way things were, but now that i have this letter...OY! possible student again come september??? will keep you posted. thoughts? pro's & con's please.

jaimie is moving away, will miss my SIL. rosie has captured our hearts. roy & rosie are becoming fast friends. spring break is upon us...hope to do some lovely things with the boys...movies, bowling, lunching, baking and i also want to go to that place in van where you make & bake & take ceramics.

tlc baked today. fun fishy cupcakes. not fishy flavour...no no no, fishy decorated. see TLC for pics.

I wish...

...my ass looked like that! heeeeheeee! those look familiar?
oh TLC had some fun yesterday....we went shopping at the cake supply store in Langley, stocked up on cookie cutters. we have a sugar cookie order to go out this weekend...pics of course to follow...and after we made what we needed to for our order, we decided to play....

on another note, i survived bootcamp on monday. PHEW! another session tonight. i might hit yoga tonight before that in mission. we shall see....i so miss yoga.

i finished my online immunization course and am now certified. who needs to be immunized?
steve is plugging right along in school...SIL is living in the basement for a bit longer, the boys as always, are good.

i'm tired. when is bedtime????

been a rough few days. i need two things; a vacation a) with the girls (i will settle for a sleepover or even a trifecta meeting) b) with my husband (to reconnect) and some light & peace...does that make sense? the bumps in the road are difficult

i have that fireflies song stuck in my head, i think normally it would be the kind of song that drives me right up the wall, but the boys LOVE it, and they sing it with such passion that it has quickly become a fave of mine...to the point that when i miss them, i listen to it.

one night shift in T minus 2 hours, then a week off. what am i going to do????

damn you Eve!

it's all her fault, she fell to Adam's charms in the garden, and now look....

ok, that could be a BIT over the top. having said that, wtf....why must we women suffer so?
night sweats? more like night drenches....i am FAR too young for this...i swear after 2 or 3 nights like that my electrolytes are WAAAAAY out of whack....does that explain the nausea & dizziness?

meh. i had to run to michaels craft store....oy! i am so glad i am finished all my Xmas stuff for the year....ppl are CRANKY! and mean! and bitchy! it's all elbows out, every man, woman & child for themselves....

TLC is about to deliver their very first cake, order #2...so exciting...so nerve wracking...i feel like buddy on cake boss...my tummy is in knots over the transfer....i will be PISSSSSSED if the transfer does not go well....pleeeeeeeease please don't let me screw up the transfer! planning out the flattest, un-bumpiest route...

is it nap time yet??

i didn't realize that it had been a few days since i posted!
hey, i've been busy!

what can i tell you today....
rocketgirl isn't feeling well (insert sympathetic noises here)

christmas is almost upon us, although, we had ours with the boys on friday and it was lovely.
it's so funny and wonderful to see the looks on their faces while they open gifts!
one of the gifts we got them was DJ Hero. OMG! So hilarious! i think i might sneak downstairs to play it today while they aren't here....whiggida whiggida whiggida whack!

other than that, we are cruising right along...nothing crazy.

TLC makes me laugh! i don't know what i expected....but we have orders! LOVE IT! and i love all the support we are getting from our families, friends and others! it's so fantastic!

i guess that's it....i know, not very exciting....

along with old man winter! and i love it!

so the last trifectess is officially a resident of abby.
the gang's all here!

today i have to sort out all the little trinkets & gifts that i have been buying and putting away for the boys since october...see what I have and what's left to get. i have to get it done this week as we have our Christmas with them on the 23rd and i work from saturday to the 22nd soooooooo.

and i'm hoping to work tonight....

AND i'm hoping three sleeps is all i have to endure until my best friend comes home for good. i CANNOT wait, i so need him to come home for good.

TLC is getting OUT OF CONTROL! kidding.

* a dear member of the trifecta is almost officially an abbotsford resident...
* i love that the trifecta is minutes apart!
* mr. rocketgirl has, APPARENTLY, one week left in mountainland
* today we are getting our tree @ the tree farm and decorating gingerbread kids
* TLC has their first order!!!!!! WOOOOOOT

and it's 2 weeks today until Christmas!

i was thinking about working today

...when the call did NOT come in...and thankfully so

instead, i got bossed into going shopping, which was lovely. thank you buckshee.

i have slowly been getting out my christmas decorations, minimal success.
admittedly, i have been listening to Christmas music for about 2 weeks and it has been getting me thru the day. or days rather.

thursday & friday are baking days. i have to replicate?/duplicate? a cake for baby Haylie's 1st birthday on saturday....pics to follow. and on friday, TLC is prepping goodies for the THPCU Party. mmmmhmmmmm. what's that? you need a business card? can i get back to you on that?

going to the gym tonight. back to work for 2 tomorrow. it's cold out. i hope it snows.
