there's a strange man in my house!

and he isn't stressy! or cranky! oh, that's cuz he just wrote his national red seal in plumbing. 4 years of school/apprenticeship all done. 3 weeks til we find out if he is a master journeyman plumber & gas fitter. obviously he passed, he's very proud of himself, as am i.

what a relief! no more school! or is there... UFV sent me a letter yesterday. "please attend the following information session for your LPN to BSN access program." SUGARSTICKS! i thought i had bona-fide decided NOT to go anymore, to be happy with the way things were, but now that i have this letter...OY! possible student again come september??? will keep you posted. thoughts? pro's & con's please.

jaimie is moving away, will miss my SIL. rosie has captured our hearts. roy & rosie are becoming fast friends. spring break is upon us...hope to do some lovely things with the boys...movies, bowling, lunching, baking and i also want to go to that place in van where you make & bake & take ceramics.

where are we all at? what has been going on & what is noteworthy?
me, well, it's now 2306h and all is still well.
there's really something to be said for silence.
it was a long day. mentally draining. advocating queen. c'st moi.
nice little visit with our friends, singing to the iphone and now....
SILENCE! the kids are asleep, the furbabies...asleep
the husband,snoring...asleep!
me & my laptop, seeing the world.

one night shift tomorrow night. i just cannot believe that it is nearing the end of february. i'm having a bit of a personal struggle...i worry too much....end of story.
i successfully finished a 2 day cleanse. i can't even imagine doing it for longer. tomorrow i get to eat though. like EAT. well ok, maybe eat. but it's far more exciting than the leafy greens i have been eating for the past 48 hours. may 1st i hope to be halfway.

~ it's valentine's day today...same as any other day really.

~ tomorrow is the anniversary of our 1st awkward date 6 years ago. i think. or 7.

~ tuesday is mason's 9th birthday. how utterly sad. my baby.

~ my throat is sore. if i get jaimie's bronchitis i will go postal.

~ i just ate a double cheeseburger, small fries & quinn's butterscotch pudding. those who know me well...well, thank you quinn.

~ don't judge me on the burger bit, it's not like i could open the Szechuan KD. (smooches RK), it's more of a conversation piece.

wishy washy me

ok. so i had a brilliant find yesterday. i found it in the furniture section on the kijiji online website here in abby. it was being used as bedroom furniture, which is what we would use if for...a lowboy. it's super big & heavy and i need to get a better look at it now that it's home, but i can't! it's just so heavy! i don't know that i love it the way i love the waterfall dresser...i guess i'm concerned that it looks too much like a dining room piece. it's well made, solid heavy wood...did i mention heavy???? if i keep it, it will need to be the first piece i do...then i only need a lovely old large wooden mirror to either attach or go above it...and a storage foot bench ottoman thing...to refinish also. so, you ask, what makes this find so brilliant if you don't love it? the price. it was free. take a look at the pics i did manage to get and tell me what you think...

Rosie is lovely. she is so chubby & funny. sharp little baby teeth, raspy little baby bark, which i think we have heard no more than 5 times. oh does it make me giggle. she is doing wonderfully with her crate training. she goes in at night, whines to pee...runs straight to the paper, then goes back in her crate. YESSSSS! take that Roy!

busy week ahead...not with work...thankfully. hoping the weather stays comme ci comme ca so i can start on my end tables.

my dear gf has brought that to my attention lately and it made me think just how right she and of course my father are. life is too short to shit the small stuff.
i'm going to try and keep that forefront in my thoughts right now...it's so true

having said that....our new doggy, does not shit small. is this one of those small stuff things??????

needing your help...we quite possibly maybe potentially might be getting a new puppy today...same style as Roy, but different colour, and a girl. will keep you posted, it's a good week to get a new puppy as i only work 1.5 shifts and can be home to train...we shall see. in the meantime...needing cute names that start with "R" to complement little Roy's name...
